hat work no they didn't have only 28000mi but all ran and drove and I might add they weren't green I'm seeing obo or around 4000 very few people interested in a Seville look alike, don't get me wrong I like these cars but I'm out over 3000.

Haz it been converted from that crappy FI to carb. Iz the question of the day. If not it'z lawn art no matter what the price iz! Anybody need a set of those "Rare" snow flakez? I have an extra set, Jer

This car has been for sale for awhile now. It started at $9000 and then dropped to $8500 for the longest time. Two things that should catch interest are....notice the asterick between ODO * MI in the picture of the dash? That almost always (exceptions I'm sure) means that it was converted to a carb from FI. It also means that the electronic dash was replaced. If so, then the 28,000 miles is MOST likely not accurate. When the cluster was replaced a decal was placed on the driver side door jamb indicating the original mileage. That number plus what shows on the current ODO need to be added together to get proper mileage. Without that sticker, true mileage can not be known, at least not without thorough paper work to back it up.

Wow a moon roof, its green and mileage may not be accurate, price should start going up in a bidding war here at any moment LOL. At least I learned something about F.I. 81 imps

Me too along with the '82z and '83z. Pretty nice road carz with the carbed 318z in 'um! How 'bout the wheel centerz Nutcase. Any clue why they came Red, Black, clear and branded W/Imperial, and just clear not branded?

I understood that when the carb conversion was done on these, the asterisk on the ODO was to indicate that the swap had been completed and the computer reflashed to indicate the mileage, and that also input the asterisk on the display. I've seen several Imps over the years and cannot recall seeing a door jamb sticker like you mention. If that were the case, NO 1981 - 1983 Imperial would read the right mileage, and that just doesn't sound right.

The snowflake wheels were originally Imperial only and not available on other cars. The centre was red in 81-2 with "Imperial" on it. In 83 the centre was clear with "Imperial" on it. After Imperial was discontinued, the snow flake wheels became available on 5th Ave M bodies and the centres changed again without any name.

Patrick66.....when the conversion was done the fuel tank, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, and dash were replaced. The asterik was there too show that the dash was not original. I owned an '82 and mine did have the sticker on the door jamb. It was not in the best of shape but it was there. Most have probably fallen off or been removed by someone in time. Think about it....real easy way to claim lower mileage to a non knowing person by removing the sticker. Did lots of research on these and this is how it was done. Just a little trivia...the sheetmetal was thicker on an Imperial over any other Ma Mopar in that era. I will not call my self an expert on these cars but I have found out alot on these cars. Still one of my favorite "newer" cars of all time. Dash cluster was changed because there was no such thing as "flashing" it, was not possible. It was just a digital read out, no hardware(computer)to flash.

always wanted one of these cars, dont see ever owning one though.

I have to agree I've always had a strange attraction to these cars ever since my parents had a 84 fifth ave I just thought they where cool now at 7000 I don't see ever owning one.

Pretty cool to learn about these Imperials....only 17,000 made during the 3-year run. The most expensive list-price American car at the time (?) $21k with the only option being the moon-roof. I wonder how well they drive? You would probably never encounter another one especially with unusual green color scheme...looks like maybe "Light Seaspray Green Metallic."

Thank You Mr C. I alwayz wondered 'bout that. In the late '90s when I had decided to go with those Snow Flakez on the Batwagon I started buying the centerz from all over the country expecting to have them show up with Imperial branded into them. To my supprize and delite when they started showing up they were just cute little clear plastic Pentastarz. See Jer grin.

This thread got me interested in Googling everything about these Imps.
I had a soft spot for them and i thought if I ever could find an original low mileage untouched car, I could go for it.
After reading link after link about the electronic nightmares with the instrument panel, I'm taking a permanent pass.
