That's a hard hit. I suspect you were going slow or it would of rolled.

When I looked into this I was looking hard at a Frank (another aluminum bumper car) and I passed on it because the bumpers were bad and nobody would fix it. I really like the ALSA product video. That looks amazing! I would do that to the bumpers on this 81 in a heartbeat. Is this something that can be done at home? Very cool.
If I remember correctly, at least on the '79's, the little window was illuminated so that the etched "Fifth Ave" lettering would glow. Don't know if they kept that feature through the entire run.
I might have to get one some day just because of those lights.
