235 70 or 235 75, that is the question

Which is why I say the 60 is low. Too low and looks undersized. I made the mistake once and learned from it.

You are not reading what Im saying. The 235 numbers are in Millimeters as in 235 of them. The 70 is the sidewall height of the tread width , so the sidewall is 70 percent in height of the width of the tire. A 60 always has a shorter sidewall compared to the 70
I dont think im writing that clear enough

Are you responding to me? If one tire has a diameter of 26.5 and the other has one of 28, and they're both mounted to the same size rim, how did the 26.5 diameter tire raise his car an inch?

Ugh. I can't read. I thought you said you went from the 235 70 to the 245 60. My bad. It all makes sense. Time for new glasses!!

I will still take the 60s over the 70s; it's a personal taste thing. If I wanted a tall tire, I'd stay with a stock rim.

What does the rim size have to do with it?
A stock rim with a standard tire is a tall tire. So are 70s. I prefer the low, wide profile of the 60s. I ran 70/14s on the front of my VW, but 60/15s in the back. My son's Gremlin is using 70/14s because a 60 wouldn't fit - at least not very well. I had 60s on my '62 New Yorker - looked great!
