And what is a 70?Charts I'm seeing have the 245 60 with a height of only 26.57". That's on the small side.

Yeah, I definitely like tires with a higher profile on the C-bodies. The lower profile just look too small to me.Thank you..... see how the lower profile looks compared to the 70?
When I changed over from 245/60 to 235/70, the ride height of the car went up nearly an inch.Charts I'm seeing have the 245 60 with a height of only 26.57". That's on the small side.
How does that happen? No sidewall flex? When I changed over from 245/60 to 235/70, the ride height of the car went up nearly an inch.
According to the charts you posted, the 235 is 1 1/2 " taller than the 245/60, so that alone is a 3/4" ride height increase (1/2 of the increased diameter). How does that happen? No sidewall flex?
Other way around. Are you responding to me? If one tire has a diameter of 26.5 and the other has one of 28, and they're both mounted to the same size rim, how did the 26.5 diameter tire raise his car an inch?
A stock rim with a standard tire is a tall tire. So are 70s. I prefer the low, wide profile of the 60s. I ran 70/14s on the front of my VW, but 60/15s in the back. My son's Gremlin is using 70/14s because a 60 wouldn't fit - at least not very well. I had 60s on my '62 New Yorker - looked great! What does the rim size have to do with it?
