Thanks to @68plymouth383 I received an original exhaust hanger. It cleaned up nicely. Soaked it in my solvent tank for a few days which loosened up the old undercoating an actually softened the rubber. Sand blasted it, acid etched it to give it a little bit of a zinc phosphate coating and then tin zinc coated it.
Some day when I find the right rivets. I will replace the rubber.

Let me see what 68plymouth383 has. He says he might have a good used original hanger.
For the NORS hangers you found I am pretty sure I would have to turn the bottom of that hanger around for it to fit right. There is only 4-1/2” of pipe that the hanger can go on. I hate to spend that kind of money and still have to rebuild it. But if I find that is my only choice... I will do what I can. I will need a 2” clamp for sure though.
Sorry, i just have to big fingers to use my smartphone correctly, nothing to disagree with your post
I just picked up two NOS pipes with resonators. My plan is to use just the resonator and turndown on my duals. They are both right side pipes but if I cut them at the resonator- voila! duals with the correct turndowns!
I am doing this to replace the chrome tips I have on the car now. I wanted to go back to turndowns and at $40 a piece i couldn't go wrong.
