300 c

quick is different than fast, I have had the car to 137 and realized wtf am I doing. Quick? I am happy with high 13's . For a stock daily driver

How did the car seem to handle at 137? I have not been over 90ish in my wife's RT. 140 in the Shelby seems like nothing.....so planted, I catch myself speeding all the time. Cruise control has become my new friend.

I was on the straight both times, first time windows down sunroof open and my wife in the car. Like a rocket sled on rails, then I realized my kids were gonna be orphans if anything happened so I let off. In my 30 years of driving I never considered anything but the moment

I must getting wiser also. Similar thoughts go through my head when I find myself doing questionable things now.

Is it being more wise? Who knows, because I had done it again without thinking about it. No one ever accused me of being wise either.....

The C is just going to be a summer car as we have a pair of 4x4 for the winter. We had my sons 5.7 torn down to a short block for the cam swap and there are still hone marks in the cylinders and no ring ridge to speak of at 110k. I'm impressed with that so I'm thinking a 75k srt as long as it was not beaten to death will be good. The C's are going for around 16 to 18k for a nice one and that's where I want to be for a car that will sit for 5 months of the year. I would like to sell the NY to fund some motor work over the winter.

IMO, what you get with an SRT is well worth the upgrade. Some guys love the RT's & I do too but the interior of the SRT is much nicer, not to mention more horsies, better suspension, better exhaust, etc...........

I should say C in this case, not R/T.

Around here they have added a category to the traffic laws called "stunting" - dumb name IMO. If you get caught going faster than a certain amount over the limit - I believe 50% more - they seize your car for at least a week, you get a fine in the range of $2500, your license gets suspended for a length of time I don't recall, and 6 demerit point on your record. The fines and suspensions get bigger after your first time getting caught.

The interior is what I dont like about the SRT, also the wheels, the front spoiler and the trunk with the black "spoiler".
You also shouldnt use the SRT in the winters with the tires that it comes with.

An R/T with the super trac pack option is the way to go

I dont know what the law is here Greg on driving that fast, again, when you are doing it you dont think about it

Big shock but I disagree with you on every point.

I wouldn't drive one in snow regardless of tires though.

I knew you did without you even saying so. Some have to drive what they have in the snow or even just the extreme cold. They say the SRT tires cant take the cold

I get the have to thing but I'd buy a Charger or 300 AWD if I "had to", not a Challenger. I live where it snows though.

Not sure how you don't like heated leather seats or nav, etc.

I have heated leather in my RT, dont need navigation, I am smart enough to figure it out.

A 300 and a Charger was not an option

I'd take a challenger if I could find one for what I want to spend for a summer ride. I still don't like the dash on them at all and in my opinion the 300's are much better. I'll take a srt any day over a stock RT. I love the way they handle and set me in the seat when I push the fun pedal.

Probably correct. My owners manual says it is not recommended to drive under 40 degrees F, and I believe my tires are not even supposed to be stored below 5 degrees F. Not a Mopar, but should hold true for anything with serious Summer tires.

I ran M/T drag radials for one season on the street but I couldn't leave the garage if there was any chance at all of rain. I switched to eagle f1 & they seem to stick pretty well. Prolly not ok for winter though.
