Aside from the A12 what code(s) make this a Hurst car?Jerry,
Interesting that your tag doesn't have the A12 code that most Hursts do, as you and I discussed last November. Did you ever find your broadcast sheet?
Here's my tag.

I assume EW1 could be had on a standard Chrysler?A combination of things:
Color/interior combo.
Engine code
125 SPD
Y39
J99 VON
I assume EW1 could be had on a standard Chrysler?
What about M6T5?
E86/U also available on a standard Chrysler?
No other cars built that day? Were all Hurst built that day?
Again you could special order a standard Chrysler
J99 VON unique to the 1970 300-Hurst?
Whereas unlikely, it is possible for these options to show up on a standard Chrysler, the A12 was one that is unique to the Hurst cars.
If I find a loose tag in my collection how do I definitively know it is to a Hurst car?
Alan
This was a rhetorical/hypothetical question, I have long loved these cars but have never researched them.
So finding a J99 VON on a standard Chrysler is highly unlikely, borderline impossible.
So the absence of the A12 might raise the flag, but the combination of other codes should be enough.
Alan
I thought the trunk release for these cars was vacuum actuated from a button in the glovebox. Does yours actually have a cable?Thought I'd throw in a couple more pictures just to further my case .
Car is definitely not a clone and will take a lot of effort and expense to get it close to it's former glory .
It will never be to the level of Trace 300's car , but I will do my best .
One unseen part is the hand cable for the trunk release .
Anyone know where I can get a 16 ' long cable made to replace the original ?
Also have the original spare tire that was in the trunk .

I don't know the Hurst that well, but I do recognize this wheel - sort of.
