360 heads

Hi guys
How do you tell if the heads on a 360are the correct ones. Magnum or LA heads. I have a performer edelbrock intake ut seems to leave a large gap when sitting on top of block. Pics are posted

How do you tell if the heads on a 360are the correct ones. Magnum or LA heads. I have a performer edelbrock intake ut seems to leave a large gap when sitting on top of block. Pics are posted

The heads on the pictured engine are LA heads, 1975 or later. The LA and Magnum heads look different on the ends with different mounting bosses and look differently on the exhaust side as well. Magnum ports have less pronounced shape on the opening. Magnum heads do not have the air injection ports which are on these heads and plugged.
