My grandfather special ordered his 1974 Dodge Monaco wagon. He checked the boxes for the heavy duty - "Cop Options" - no lights or certified speedometer. Now that I am older I wish I would have paid more attention. He was a bit sneaky and selected the Lucerne Blue Iridescent as the color - similar to police "blue". He was a good, bad influence ; )

Update;

Right now the front door lock mechanisms are being treated with penetrating oils. The lock pulls wouldn’t pull up or able to be pushed down.

Good thing there’s a set of keys.

Here’s two photos of the engine compartment, that’s all I have at this time because the hood was closed for towing and has to be finagled open again.

You are probably aware, but if not, those 66-up door lock cylinders are still available at the parts store. Or some ebay sellers offer them as kits with a same-key ignition tumbler. (they do for dashboard key-switches, anyway, I've not paid attention for steering column switches).

I was wholeheartedly surprised when on my second trip to pick up another “vee-hickle” I spotted an engine block hanging off a three point hitch on the rear of an old farm tractor.

Here is the original engine from this pursuit car. Good ol’ 188553

It comes with the hard to find big block motor mount brackets.

No damage that I see.

I'm not a machinist but can't that engine be re-sleeved since its the original?

The block will be check by a machinist at some point but right now I having a 413 engine checked out. I will show the photos to him of the 440 and pick his brain.
