Then he said he would not ask if I still had an offer for the car because he didn't want me to have any hard feelings about the car. He finished by thanking me for viewing the car and the call ended. . .

Sounds to me like his phantom 1:00 o'clock party never existed, didn't show up, or he passed on the car too. I think the seller just really wanted a little more money for the car, but felt he was trapped in the previously discussed $3000 offering price. If it was me, and I wanted the car, I would text him back and tell him my original $3000 offer still stands.

I was going to price it @ $6000 as is myself.

Not the West coast, in fact just the opposite, but some indication of what a running/driving one (I assume from the photos) might sell for. This one seems to even have most of the original interior present, and for a New York vehicle, looks pretty nice.

Case is the son. I sent a text to his dad with no response back. Case's dad is selling the car for his brother. I believe he drove back to Oregon today. If I don't hear back by tomorrow, I can text Case on his cell to see if it's sold.

There's also this '57 in CA, not a lot of info other than new paint, interior and tyres, it seems quite nice.
