My 65 monaco has tilt steering. Was this an option? I have never seen a 65 with tilt steering:sSig_thanks:

It was a very rare option... I am jealous...:angry4::angry4::angry4:
JK, I am envious though..:laughing4:

I had tilt in my 65 sport Fury but I took it out. It only had about 5 positions and I usually kept it in the middle anyways. I put a regular column in it as I thught I had to switch to use a grant wheel. Not certain if that is still the case (was a long time ago).

that's my interior

yes, that's me. I took out the radio and hid it in the clove box. I have the clock that went in the instrument cluster and moved the oil pressure gage into the clove box.

I bought it in 2008 from a guy in NY. I originally saw it on ebay and lost the bid. The NY guy won it and a few months later emailed me and asked me if I still wanted it. I paid what my highest bid was. He found a lincoln he wanted instead.

Sweet, another 65 Monaco! I've counted 4 so far: myself, Marian, Moparnutcase and you. Anyone know of any others on here?

I actually own two. I have had my 383 car almost 23 years. With any luck I'll get the 426 car done before that many more years pass!!!

Do you know why your dada passed on it?

I dont remember the circumstances. I believe he was just scared to buy something without setting eyes on it. He bought a 74 dart months later at Carlisle, months again passed and he bought a 73 charger. He never really liked either car. He now owns a 73 Polara and likes it plenty. He would have liked that Monaco.... I know it!!
