You did a good job of getting that fender replacement to work.
The extra sharp trained eye will catch the difference in the wheel opening but it looks great.

We still have some work on the wheel opening to tie them together. It looks 100% better than the previous. The fender skirts will actually fit on this if I wanted to put them on. They weren't even close with the previous work.

When u did your firewall repair did you use the 4 door for parts? If so do you still have the 4 door? I need the drivers side patch for my wife's 65. I have a 66 2door parts car but not to excited about cutting up a 2 door. But if you don't have the 4 door I may have no choice? Let me know please. And if so what would you want for it.

Basiclly just this part. Around the curve at front with lip along fender mount and around to wiper mount. Dont need any part of wiper mount.

So from searching I found out that this is an old school trick for vapor lock? They act as some sort of heat exchanger for it? Weird.

I would recommend Duraglass/Marglass etc. for the first coat of filler over any seam, joint etc. that could possibly get moisture in from behind. The fiberglass filler will not absorb any moisture, however any standard plastic filler will, and it will swell up and when it shrinks back you have a loose area where rust will start again.

Also before you take your car out, I would replace your master cylinder with a dual reservoir unit along with the proper proportioning valve.

Duraglass is what we have been using. I purchased disc brakes for the car as well. We haven't decided when we will install those yet.

I do have it, but I haven't had the time to take a detailed look. Work and getting my boat ready have absorbed my time lately. I hope to finish up the boat for the season in the next week or so and will get back to finishing up the car.
