66 Fury Sport

Hey Folks. I am newbie here and just picked up a 68 Fury Sport. It does not have a build sheet or fender tag. But it does have this certicard. I have decoded the vin and its a 383 4bbl hi-po. Not sure if its number matching yet as I am waiting for it to arrive by truck.

But does anyone know anything about the 2nd set of numbers? Does that provide any additional information. Any help is appreciated.

hmm. I read that the certicard has the vin, trim, paint, engine, axle, and scheduled production date. vin = first line. rest = 2nd line.

From what I have read. The T5 is the transmission. Torqueflite Automatic. The SA is the rearend type. I know its not a posi. The last one is the date. I know its a 68.

So i really would like is the trim code and that is the 1st item on the 2nd line. and the color which is the 2nd item on the 2nd line. That would help. Thx.

OK. I can't really read the letters, would you mind posting what it says? I believe the paint code says EE1, which would be Dark Blue Metallic. If it says FF1, then it's Light Green Metallic. You can also use http://www.jani-immonen.net/decoders/tag6768.html to plug in some of the codes you find.

FF1. So yes. Light Metallic green. It is a green car.

S6F is the 2nd one. I think its the interior.

The decoder did not find the code. I'll keep trying.

Top line is the VIN PS23H8F121471
S6F= Interior trim = Sport; vinyl bucket seats; green
FF1 = exterior paint = Light Green metallic
T5 = transmission 5 = automatic
SA = standard axle (non Sure Grip) Posi is for Chevy's ;)
0911 = scheduled production date = September 11th (1967)

9/26/68 = delivery date (to customer)
61016 = dealer number
Owner's name

The delivery date is either a typo (probable) or this car sat for a year before it sold.
