So while I was waiting for the new hydraulic pump for the roof to arrive I noticed in the service manual on p23-82 fig12 shows a drain pocket flap. To me it seems to be involved with the well liner, or maybe the roof. As my car is a forty yr old resto the liner is best described as velour or some kind of felt. Previous owner did not do much wet weather driving but as it is going to be my daily am wondering if anyone has details or photos of why I might need to chase. Or do I just expect a bit of damp from time to time.
Any help appreciated
Cheers

When the convertible top is fully raised and locked, the top seals directly against the body, on the side (effective C-pillar) and in the rear. If anything might leak past those top/top well interfaces, the water would need to go somewhere (hopefully not in the trunk or rear footwells).

One time I was in the back seat of my '68 LeSabre convertible, wiping down the extended hydraulic rams. I looked down and saw two "drain holes" in the sheet metal in the "C-pillar" area. First time I'd ever considered those things. So I'd expect that Chrysler convertibles were similar. One of those things you don't consider until you discover them.

If there is something in the service manual, possibly some better illustrations in the factory parts book?

Enjoy!
