I believe he is the first bidder who is only bidding on one item at the moment. The other two are bidding on more items especially the top guy on 29 different Mopars. The second guy has a bid on an Olds.

Nope. I purposely try not to be top bidder.
That would result in
1. Chasing a shill,
2. Chasing someone with more money than brains, or
3. Meeting reserve which is to the buyer's disadvantage.
Most "winning bidders" are deadbeats. You do best when waiting for a Second Chance Offer.
Being near the top is the sweet spot.
Looking at the top bidder's 30 day history (if he's a legit "BUYER" which I seriously doubt), he chases Mopars to get a hard on without actually having to buyithem. Also, his Last Bids history shows he's in it to drive up the price early. You don't see any last second sniping.

Little known fact: The ACTUAL sell through rate completely and successfully transacted entirely through ebay for all the cars listed on ebay ( ~ 69,000+ as of today) is about 10%.
