Hey guys pulling out my hair trying to get lights fixed front all good rear tail lights good plate and reverse lights.. when I push the brake the console lights come on if I turn on the headlights the console lights come on! but can't get the brake lights or directionals to work any ideas ??

Do you have a factory wiring diagram? Your problem sounds like a bad ground, but you have to find out what these circuits have in common.
been going crazy just looked again real close looks like the emergency flasher switch is common! but the diagram shows 2 flashers emergency and directional but theres only 1 in my car.

There are definitely two flashers in the car, they are in different locations. Just for the sake of trying, disconnect the turn signal harness at the steering column and see what happens.

thanks for the help guys the flasher was up above the ashtray what a pain to find. also the PO had replaced the directional switch under the wheel with the wrong one. I found the old one in the trunk cleaned it up it looked good so put it back and all works perfect.

They are the same as the Autometer gauge lights. Autometer also sells one that is a metal housing with a single wire or the two wire style.
Thanks good to know! I actually found some in one of the junk drawers in the barn
