That’s a 383 for sure.

I don't know Matt. . . There is a big flat pad there to the right of the water neck, and it looks like the pad where a '440' stamp would appear. I don't think the 383 has a pad like that. I'll hafta look at mine tonight.
You guys are correct in that the 300's all had 440's I just checked my 68 Chrysler dealer book. I thought I had seen some 300's with 383's previously. Whoops...'68 300 would be stock with 440. The engine has been swapped at some point.
Had them on my 68 Monaco 500 a few years back then switched to Road Wheels. Those wheels looked good on the Miradas. The 1966 300's came standard with a 383.
I am surprised that nobody has commented on the very sought after wheels that are on the car. Those are selling for big dollars these days if they are in good shape.
I started that trend 14 years ago.....The 1966 300's came standard with a 383.

Hey, not to twist the thread but is Brogle on FCBO or is he a Facebook only sort? We work in the same circles but I haven't really heard from him since I ditched Facebook 6 months ago.Rob Brogle fell in love with those wheels to the point he met me in Joisey back in June 2017 and i got them polished for him in my home town in Canuckville. Then we met again in Syracuse February 2018 to retrieve them. They are going on his 68 NYer similar to mine.

Nah, I don't feel bad. He's a real great dude, though! I met him when I was still on FB and it turned out he worked for a company the place I work for does a lot of business with. He lent me a tool when I was pulling my harmonic balancer on my 67 and I've still not gotten it back to him!GJS, Rob is not on FCBO. He used to be on the C Body Dry Dock but he currently seams to be primarily on several FB forums (and I have very little time for FB). Rob & I have been friends for 15+ years. He works a ton of hours and is active with the Trolley museum so don't feel bad that you have not heard from him. I left him a message about 2 months ago and have not heard back from him.
Ha! I know where that is... Did you get a burger at Zeb's while you were there?Rob Brogle fell in love with those wheels to the point he met me in Joisey back in June 2017 and i got them polished for him in my home town in Canuckville. Cool, man. I'll be sans Monaco for that one as she won't be registered till late July but I'll try and make it down for the show.GJS, He may be at the MOPARS IN MOTION show at Papa's Dodge on May 20th. If he does not show there and you go, you can always give it me and I can get it to him.
Bill
Sent you a message with my cell etc. Don't worry about a "fee".I may be John. I've emailed the owner. If he gives good info, I would love you to scout it (for a fee and gas, natch).
Nope.It smelled good, though.Stopped in a Cracker Barrel in Watertown for brunch.Ha! I know where that is... Did you get a burger at Zeb's while you were there?
