68 fury iii distributor rotor

68 fury 318 distributor is in time I believe the rotor is pulling in the very back at 5 or 7 I’m trying to get it into 0° top dead center pull the distributor out and said it back. It’s always back at five or seven. The rotor is not pointing at one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The crankshaft makes 2 full rotations for each rotation of the distributor.
Rotate the crank 1 turn to TDC and it should line up.

Prob the oil pimp drive was not indexed right. Re position it or just switch the wires so one is where the rotor is.

Some one said I could use coat hanger on the drive gear on top to reposition does that sound right

Now thats funny. Must be read on the internet. No just a big slotted screwdriver. Tons of threads on it.
