ok, thanks, dumb question, but is the 17K price in Canadian dollars? Also, do you know of an affordable way to get shipping to the US? thanks

Anybody know the background on this one? seems to sit up in the back for some reason. Any guess on what it would go for?

Thanks

Dale

I actually really like this car. I like the stance it has and engine bay outside of breather loks good. I read the vague discription this auction company and emailed them for more info and they just sent me back to original website. No help at all which makes me wonder. I noticed other cars at this auction have fairly nice writeups except this one. It sends red flags up as far as I am concerned. But the car will still sell fairly high I think.

am shure its Canadian dollars which would be...12556.78$...knock him down 1-2k for bad taste and your into it for just over 10k US with exchange....ship it to montana and drive it back

right now theres a company in Airdrie north of Calgary..they have a guy that dose nothing all day except swap out speedos for shipping to the US...with the exchange rate you aint gona find a better deal
now for us canucks having to deal in US currancey is deadly at $1.40+

Coming from a graphics back ground the image seems to be pinched L to R giving it a abnormally short appearance, the wheels are vertically elipsed! .....the rear wheel wells are at about the same height as the top of the rims which seems pretty normal in my experience.

This one is definitely in the not a chance range... the wheels alone are screaming here's a crappy flip attempt!!!

Have the decency to get the correct road wheels or wheel covers!!!
The Kmart wheel covers and seat inserts are enough to cause me to think this is a wannabe gangsta who tapped out before he could F-it up with 22s... I would inspect closely if I was looking. IDK how to price these, the sale values seem to be everywhere, except low. Too many don't have floors/trunks.

Critter: Who are those Edmonton members ? I wuz thinking that if the car is really roadworthy (and one could make a deal on it), it could be driven outa there. You know - a C-Body Odessy kind of thing. . .

hi, any chance of photos of underneath? photos before painted? any past rust repair? thanks. Kijiji Ad ID: 1065029328

The stance doesn't bother me, I've seen plenty of cars with springs replaced that sat higher until they settled a bit. The air cleaner is a bit much. Cool, but looks like it belongs on a bulldozer.

Greensboro is only an hour or so west of me. Wish my 300 had been that close.

Hey Dale -

Probably not as my daughter has a school event Saturday which her grandfather is coming from Florida to attend. Plus I need to change the plugs in my Ranger, it's skipping like a gay leprechaun in the Chicago St Paddy's Day parade.

My wife was in Greenville yesterday interviewing someone for her doctorate dissertation. Small world, state, something. :D

Hmm.....my 300.......it's a '66 disc brake car w/buckets and console, 383, and a few issues. Looks beautiful just sitting there. Also manages to break, just sitting there. I went out yesterday and hooked up the battery to discover that sure enough - the tail lights are still shorted on, and now the horn doesn't work. There's a thread in the Slab Side forum titled 'Road Shark' with the list of achievements (small) and problems (growing). Warmer weather coming, so I can start tormenting myself again. At least I got the new title for it, finally. I'm determined to have it on the road as a reliable driver by summer, even though it still looks like hell.

Whatcha got over there?

Hey There,

Good to hear from you. Understood on the auction, more important things for sure.

I also have a Ranger too, a 2000 base model.

And even amazingly enough the story of your 300 sounds just about like mine. Except it’s a ’69. You can see a lot about it here. Look forward to talking you. Heading to a meeting now.

Keep in touch

Dale

The original 300 posted is certainly nicer than this piece of crapola. If you live within a half a days drive you should check it out. I would love to have cars that I'm interested in show up for sale within a days drive, take advantage of that. As for the stance, my only experience was with my parts car. Coil over shocks was holding up the back end to make up for flat leaf springs. At least get a photo of the underside to be sure. I still don't like the top, but the photo could be rendered oddly. And then there are the god-awful snaps probably riveted to the top trim, which does not instill confidence. Regardless, take the drive and check it out, this could be the one.

The snaps bother me too. Those rear moldings are pot metal, hard to repair and expensive to replate. I know, Jazebelle had snaps screwed into the moldings when I got her.

Not to mention the convertible only trim is very hard to find, even in driver quality.

But Velcro for door panels is OK... :poke:
