For 8000 miles that steering wheel looks rough. I seriously doubt the miles. Color of the seats are off as well.

Yeah, they'll POP when you take it down the road! Anyone who goes over 20k has bumped his head, after seeing what you guys spotted!
Nice work gang!

I'm with you. Having had a few of these over time, I am pretty familiar with them, and this car's seats are clearly the wrong color, much too worn, and even the dash bezel is too worn. It could ony be 108K miles at best. Maybe he had the exterior repainted or just took good care of it, and maybe he found some original tires, but the car just isn't low mileage. No way.

This is what the seats should look like in a real low miles car:

And this listing of a 27K mile Hurst is believeable:

And here is an engine compartment shot of this same low mileage car:

This is a washer bottle that hasn't seen a lot of heat cycles, unlike the disaster in the car at hand in this thread.

Spinnaker White in the engine bay just like the body Matt
Thanks Jer, I knew the answer, I'm not a Chevy guy! The bashing had to start somewhere and I'm not well versed enough on these to say what I thought of the interior.

Please Pal, Letz not talk anything bowtie , hurtz my earz. BTW, the Prez of the 300 club and I are way good friendz. We both bought Hurst's owned by the same guy in Pennsylvania back in the early '80z. Hiz purchase waz 'bout a year before mine so he got the floor shift one with 17K milez on it. Mine waz ah column shift with 79K on it and that shall not covet thing crossed my mind ah time or two, but both carz were flawless, lol

I know I had once a 70 Fury Sport Suburban which was Z-Bart. Enginebay was clean and original.

But I have seen this kind of coating before, too.
My 68 Newport was ZieBarted. Engine compartment is NOT Ziebart. I was told only seam areas and attaching points are coated. I have the invoice from the owner when and location. Also it would be tagged with ZIEBART tag (Yellow knight.) My gut tells me puzzle pieces are missing.

Depended on the person doing the application.

My NYB was rust proofed when new by a legitimate Zeibart co.
Sticker, receipt, everything.

Every nook and cranny got an extra shot of spray. This has led me to closely look at other genuine Zeibart rust proofed cars. Everyy one done differently.

This 300 Hurst wasn't even done by Rusty Jones, let alone Zeibart.
It was done by a roof coating crew...

And just what in the f%#k is that where the cruise servo should be behind the wwf bottle a friggin sireen?

I saw this car in person three years ago, when it was in Ohio...it has lots of weird items under hood such as an odd aftermarket alarm system and speed control. Look on the inside next to the steering wheel...check out the dial etc. I have not seen an aftermarket speed control system like this ever!

Also I sincerely doubt the low mileage claim...the interior condition does not support it. However the paint did appear to be original and the body was solid.

This car has at for many years, it will likely leak like a sprinkler system once driven...prepare to spend lots of $$ to get it on the road. The car was stored sitting on its tires...I am certain they are square as well. The weird engine compartment undercoat ruined the deal for me...

Right now, the high bidder looks to be a classic car flipper judging from his bid history and cancellations.
Hope he gets it and gets his *** burnt royally.

with all the stuff done to this car will be no mistakeing it down the road

I spoke with this guy selling it yesterday. Everybody better sit down for this one. His reserve is 40 grand. Lmao, I couldn't hang up the phone quick enough. The car is a turd.

Maybe, but the bidding is over 20k now.

More photos up and now a disclaimer as to miles and admission about Zbart. I sent him a message early this morning saying not enough pics and that the miles didn't match the car. Apparently others may have also.

The car hit $34,600 reserve not met. So his reserve was said to be $40K on an 8000 mile car. With the mileage called into question, and the seller making the statement that it may be higher, he didn't change the reserve.
