Looks like a nice car. It appears to have no rust. I dont like the seats in this car.

Looks to be an early build. Doesnt have the "simulated" wood trim on the dash.
And I believe the engine should be of the blue variety. Hope it goes for at least near that price

thanks, just curious, have you noticed any other 70 318 convertibles getting close to the 20 K mark? It seems an overall nice car, but definitely is far from a "show quality" interior and exterior. nothing wrong with that, I just figured his price was pretty high (?)

Besides Promo cars, pace cars, or any car specific with significance, ANY C-Body to be worth 20,000 it needs to at least be a 10 footer. The are visual dents in the bodywork and the obvious one on the passenger fender. The paint could use a touch up or repaint and has areas of fading. The interior is obviously nonoriginal and IMO doesn’t fit the car. Is that suede?

Aside from the A/C, this looks to be an almost base model convertible. It doesn’t have a single power option (at least that I can see.) I’d bargain that the turn signal hood isn’t original. The grille is not from a SF and is a personal fabrication? Maybe an aftermarket addition back in the day? I’ve seen it once before on another Fury Sedan. Rusty interior trim. Not my favorite choice of wheels. Incorrect engine color as formally mentioned. A lot of nitpicking. But for 20K a 318 car better be darn near perfect.
It’s a pleasant car, and I’m sure even a joy to ride. But even that open air breeze from the convertible won’t keep away your tears from the $12,000 you overspent.

After looking again I wonder if the dash is original anyway. To the left of the steering wheel is still all apart.
Still wish it would get more than the standard 5-6k

A lot of money (dreaming) for a lot of missing or cobbled up car. Maybe he should buy the lower dash panel offered by our member in WI. a few days ago.

Nice car, but still needs quite a bit of work. I see it at $12k-14k, assuming the body isn't full of mud.

FWIW, last year, I bought a 1970 Polara 'vert initially listed at $200k. No, that's not a typo. By the time I made a move, the asking price was down to 1/20th of that amount, despite its being 100% original and having not one speck of rust.

The story of that car, of my purchase adventure, and of its being brought back on the road, can be found in this thread. I recently posted some high-def photos in the car's garage.

It wasn't Richards was it?

looks like somebody cut up a 70 fury grille centre section to make to make round headlight covers...... and then ya take em off to drive at night !

i think the dash pad might be from a polara.......

Carpet to cover cracked dash pad. Missing under dash panel. Cheesy aftermarket cloth seat covers. Armrests mounted cockeyed. Ridiculous looking grill. If this car went for $10000, the owner should count himself an extremely lucky man and go risk the entire proceeds on a lottery ticket.
