And thank you for correcting my error, the thing I like about this site is that there are always knowledge based people to point out error or misconceptions. I am admittedly more informed on the 70 SFGT than the 71.

Wow.What a challenge. How do you come up with all the parts for this?B.B

This car really does not need to be saved and IMHO the asking price is reasonable and on par with what these cars have been selling for when they do come up for sale, which is not often.

As for finding parts, first, you contact the seller who is a member here to see what he has (he has a lot of parts) and negotiate a package price including parts.

Second, you contact fellow '71 GT enthusiasts like myself to see if we can help out with any parts and/or provide guidance on where to find them. For example, I have a good door for the car as well as some surplus NOS parts.

Third, if you can, you buy a 2-door '70 or '71 Fury parts car with good quarters and a good door.

Fourth, you hunt for NOS parts and make a point to attend the Carlisle show every July and make a point to talk to vendors to see what they have that they may not have brought to the show.

Lastly, eBay, eBay, eBay. Search every day.

Just my 2 cents.

Mm, no such thing as A52 option in 71 on the GT, nor does one need to find a PP23 (GT) car for body panels, just has to be any 70, 71 coupe to do the job.

It,s possible to scavenge parts from other fury models to make up for a GT project car, isn,t it?Unless another GT is a wrecked car or a real hopeless mess with the correct parts. Not many GT<s were made and they are highly prized.B.B

The '71 Fury 2dr (PP23, PH23) cars all use the the same rear quarters as noted above. The lower rear quarter radii were the same on the 2Dr and 4Dr models. It depends on how bad the car is rusted an just where the panels need to be spliced. Most of the time a car with rusted lower quarters will also have significant rust around the wheel houses and wheel openings which are unique to the 2dr models. The rear window channels are also usually rusted and that part is unique to the 2dr models, same with the front A-Pillars.

The rapid transit promo stuff shows up every now and then on E-Bay.

I'm glad I'm a Dodge Boy.. . A much nicer, sexier body line on the Polara / Monaco and obviously with all the GT blithering the 71 Polara Brougham with 440 and buckets is even more rare...

...:thankyou:
