If you want easy, buy a Caprice....

excellent idea!

Sorry, couldn't resist. I love my caprices, have owned 4 of them:
- 79 classic 350/4, fully loaded incl a checkered interior, have never see another one with that interior.
- 86 police pkg 350/4v
- 91 350 police pkg
- 94 lt-1 old man's car, it was plush

note that not one of them was a 305, all 350s

Have a soft spot for the mid 80s Monte Carlo SS models, one of few American cars of these years that catches some of my interest.

I'll have to dig out pictures of my 1972 Caprice, 1968 CST Truck, 1989 Z28....

you guy have good taste.....i love the 66-72 impalas/caprices, almost bought a 69 4 spd caprice 3 yrs ago. There is a 72 IMPALA 402 RAG I like for sale, just cannot afford it. Will, I'll take that SS427 in a rag or a fastback!

I also was in the dealers ready to sign on a brand new monte carlo ss aerocoupe in early 1987...silver w/gray interior, highly optioned, cost was $17,xxx.
glad i didn't, those 305s are junk.

I like the styling of the '68 Impala better than the '67 but the '67 has the best dashboard ever put in a full-size Chevy. No idea why they only kept it for that one year.

I'm with Stan regarding model and body style and Will with the model year.
Favorite 60s Chevy model year.

My neighbor worked for the OPP as there head mechanic and shop manager in the Toronto head quarters, in 1967 through the COPO (Central Office Production Order) system (all fleet vehicles were ordered that way) he ordered 1 Biscayne 2 door sedan with the 427 and a 4spd for Highway Traffic Enforcement. I have a photo I scanned of his shop that shows the Biscayne being wired for the bubblegum and siren.

The Opel Diplomat V8 that came out in 69 was inspired by the 67 Chevrolet instrument outlay, or maybe even designed by the same people as they were involved in development overseas to some extent. The car also used the 350 Chevy V8. Front end lent quite a bit from the first Rivieras.
