hi there, thanks for the kind words. To be honest, I still haven't quite gotten the concept of the "formals" I know, it's probably on here and I could try looking it up, but at the risk of getting "poked" I'll ask. Is that the post 73s? or maybe the even later 70s cars. Hadn't been too attracted to them, but then again, not that familiar. Also, let me know what you were asking. Did you mean to also mention formals on there if pertinent? thanks.
Dale

I am keeping an eye out for a nice cheap pointy nosed 74-78 Imperial or New Yorker parts car... but mostly I just like looking at them and pondering prices myself.

ok, I'll keep my eyes open for one of those....and glad I'm not alone in the "pondering prices"

Ha. In the questions at the bottom of that listing someone offered 'I would be willing to give you 500 now as is ??" -- as if the words 'now' and 'as-is' were sufficient enticement for the seller to accept such a ridiculously-low offer. Gotta love those low-ballers and their profound misguided sense of thinking they know how to close a deal...

Anyone notice that car has a 72-73-style dual snorkel aircleaner? $100-150 right there.

You miss this one Jeff?
Chrysler: New Yorker BROUGHAM

No, it's in the "watch list"... $710 right now and with cross country shipping it's lost most of it's appeal as a appeal as a parts car. Plus, I am focused on making Carlisle right now... I will have spent my parts car fund by this time next month, just having fun.

I may resemble a "lowballer", but I seldom waste anyone's time trying. I usually set a price mentally and know I would push a little further for the right deal (this car isn't due to distance).

The dual snorkel caught my eye immediately. If I was looking to sell parts it would be a win. As someone looking to accumulate spares and electrical/mechanical build cores... not useful to me and caused me to wonder "what went on there?" At $200 I debated if this would be a worthwhile investment for my purposes... at this point I would pass. Eventually one will surface with too much rust to be worth the derby... that is likely the one I want to pay for. For what I would like trim wise... it would take a special car to provide... or maybe the swap at Carlisle.
