I went to pick up a 73 Monaco in Michigan yesterday surprisingly it's not in to bad of shape. Parked in 93 cause the 440 lost oil pressure the guy I got it from pulled the drive train to use it for part's. Cars pretty loaded with power options the stub will go in my dad's 71 wagon and I'll use the windshield. Another plus the washer tank looks to be in great shape i will be stripping the car in the future. Wyatt mentioned to keep metal for the Mood indigo car I have for a future project.

Come on folks, it's been 50+ years. Many people swapped wheels/tires around back in the day. Trans gave out in their car, junked it but kept the good tires, so wheels came with em. Bought a good set of tires at junkyard, wheels came with em. Buddy needed a spare tire, you gave up yours. People didnt care about what wheel was what in 1977. On a trip, flat tire, had to unpack trunk for the spare. Didn't bother putting the junk spare back in, left on side of road. Ever seen that trick? Remember how many flats there were on the side of the road in the 60's and 70's? Very common.

I bought a 1969 C body with 1972 wheels, did the factory do that? No, it was swapped around.

@polara71 Still throwing the red .x huh. Nobody's story or opinions matters but Yours. LOL. Lonely world living all alone like that.

Ok so all the wheels stayed with the original car from day one? Never swapped or moved around. Hmmm

Here a interesting photo. Look at the trailer rolling stock. They are the spare tires out of other cars. YOU ever buy a car and the spare was missing?

Dave was a local racer sponsored by Chrysler. But that doesn't mean he didn't spend his last dime getting to the races, buying gas and eating. Can you imagine how many miles traveled chasing the dream? So tires came from where he could find them. Interesting guy to talk with. RIP

That is not what the Red X means. It means I disagree. If you can not handle a disagreement than you probably shouldn't interact with people.
Some cars kept their original wheels. Hell some kept their original tires after 50 years. If you ever had a car of that caliber than you'd know that it is more than possible.
