74-78 C-bodies

I talked to a friend of mine last night, he just bought a 75 roadrunner. He said it looks like the Fury body not the Volare body. He said it has the RM in vin tag code. bucket seats center console, 360 in it.

Nope, never had to handle the late model C's. I always had 69 to 71 Plymouths and Dodges. I have found the dash boards very simple to pull and reinstall along with everything else under there. I find it real hard to believe that things could be more simple than that of the 69's to 71's especially since the laters had more wiring but I can't support my disbelief other than the simplicity of what I have had.

Whatever. You have your opinion, I have mine.

Since I have been working on mppars for 45 years, and do it all to these things, I know what is simple and isn't.

Yes, I do brakes, front ends, Engines, Trans, suspension, even change full quarters. Electrical is one of my easy tasks.

Maybe this will irritate the heck out of some R-body guys, but, I am adamant in my opinion they are really B-bodies.

1980-81:
Gran Fury, St. Regis, Newport, New Yorker/Fifth Avenue
1979:
Magnum, Cordoba

Not sure what you are saying. The R was a B Body? And that full size body started in 79.

The real difference was underneith. The Cordoba, Magnum, 5th Ave all had transverse T Bars, where the R's had a standard suspension as we all know. But it was a full sub Frame as a C body had if I remember right. But there is a very fine line there Stan.

You are right Rog. The dash assemblies came apart and you didn't have to drop the steering column either.

I posted yesterday about your car, I guess the server issues wiped that out. All I really had to say was Nice Car!

Ok I'll jump in the revival train.. here my 75 NYB. Other than keeping her in the road, nothing to report on upgrade. I did! Out new dual exhaust on her last week.
Thread Revival . Let's pick up the chatter here.

Your rock'en that 2 tone Stan!! Love it, Hope to meet you and the car some day..

Door edge moldings must either be removed or painted black. Vertical chrome elements spoil the horizontal sea of blackness.
Yep. Bothers me a lot, too. Visually, should be black. I'll get around to it someday. . .

The glass seal tween the front and rear doors also bother me. Need to find some weatherproof black tape that won't look like crap.

I just got finished and I was just about to roll it up and I said to myself, I can not pass up this opportunity...
