Maybe the buyer saw it, liked it, loved it, bought it!
Or someone that knows you can't possibly put a $2500 car into similar condition for less money and has the checkbook to make it happen now.

tbm you are so missing the point, especially after Stan made my point for me by restating what I'm saying
I really, really doubt this car is going to be anywhere close to a daily driver at that price or slightly less.
Your first sentence is pure supposition and opinion, and while asserted strongly that does not make it any more valid or true for anyone but yourself. You are not a mind reader. It would be far wiser financially, to buy this car and drive it or trailer it or hide it in your garage than to spend as much or MORE on a same year and model car and invest lots $ into restoring it to like condition, to do the same things. That is a fact.
Also, my next guess that a person who would pay that is probably not capable of doing any kind of work on their car.
Sentence two. Judgement of others motives and your opinion, asserted strongly, is still an opinion no matter how much FCBO group think may back it up. There is no logic or proof behind it, and it doesn't not hide the fact that it's still no more an valid opinion that saying something like "A person who pays a financially reasonable asking price of an older house that has been fixed up is incapable of doing any work to any house"
That leaves it to others to maintain.
The last sentence is faulty logic and only has the weak foundation of your first two opinionated sentences for support, which even if correct are irrelevant.
I gave my opinion.
Don't agree then say "I don't agree" just like when I say I don't agree with yours now.
I was kinda hoping it was you...Maybe the buyer saw it, liked it, loved it, bought it!
My objection to financing any car makes me a bit odd (probably not the only thing), but if you had to have it, that makes ownership a lot easier. I can't say I would ever do it, but I have considered it before. My 2¢..... This is a really nice, very clean, low mileage car. It has a desirable color combination and the usual options. It's going to fetch a decent dollar as long as it's marketed right.
It was sold by a dealer with a pretty good reputation and the ability to get the car financed. More value added.
$17.9K as the asking price... figure at least a 10% or more cushion for dickering and you are at $16K.... The price of a 5 year old used car.
While I wouldn't pay that much for it.... I would say that there are many that would. Right car, right location etc..... Why not?
