Supposedly just north of me there is a 1976 NYB coupe for sale. I'm just a little suspicious of the sellers wording. All original, 440, very little rust, and new aftermarket plastic gas tank.

I probably know the answer to this question but I just have to ask. Anyone know of a aftermarket plastic gas tank for a NYB? Please tell me this is a thing, and not just running off a can.

Never, ever, heard of a plastic gas tank for any Formal.
Maybe Javier @73 T&C made it using his 3D printer.
Investigate more and get back to us.

EDIT: He may have one of these in the trunk.

Yep, my first thought is that they've installed some type of fuel cell. That sure wouldn't get you very far in that '76 440.

Sent message, but lately I haven't had much luck with responses to a few sellers.
Here's three pictures from the ad.

Spectra CR22A, is offered and available through Rock Auto, I put one in my car and it fit perfect. Why anyone would go to the trouble in a "show car" is beyond me.

Nice looking car imo. Won't know till you're looking at it in person though. Every car will have some weird thing done by a previous owner.

This reminds me I have a fuel level sender I should install :BangHead:
