The fuel tank in my 77 Town and Country was missing when I got it, so repairing it is not an option. I put a thread in the "parts wanted" forum to find a used one but I think the chances of finding one are low, so I would like to explore retrofitting a more readily available one. I've posted a little on some of the Facebook groups and I remember somebody saying they used a tank from a mid-70s Ford van, and somebody else saying they used one from an original Dodge Challenger.

There are several issues to consider to make either option work, and I would like if possible for someone who has already done one of these retrofits to chime in and give me advice on how to do it myself. Thanks!

I used a b body tank in my 70 fury it is just a tad shorter but the original straps and hardware work.

Wagon tanks are different...and wagons are sadly so rare now that nobody seems to be making new wagon tanks. On top of it, of all of the eras of Mopars, the mid to late 70's has almost no aftermarket support.

A "car tank" will really not be suitable even to modify in my opinion, they lie flat under the car floor where wagon tanks are vertical to give room for the rear passenger foot well.

Check with Murray Park. I also seem to recall someone parting a 74 T&C.

Best of luck!
