Police pkg. not available to the public. He went to the LT1 and HD suspension that got him 80% there.

He never claimed it had the cop pkg.
I'm guessing he installed the HD alternator, cooling and tranny cooler.

The B4U Trailer tow package gave you essentially everything the 9C1 did with the exception of rear disc brakes, silicone hoses and certified speedometer...

Thanks for the offer. I'm getting new tires mounted on mine next week, so hopefully they wont be bent and clean up good! Id be really happy with 20 MPG with out the trailer, 14 with would be great! Now where do I find a class three hitch?

I would scour the wrecking yards... I did a quick check on UHaul and Curt Trailer hitches sites... class 2 only... WTF can you do with a 1 1/4 receiver? When I bought mine for the sedan in 2001, they pulled it out of a warehouse somewhere... It was hard to find, but a local hitch installer was able to find it. Now that the cars are old, they are obsoleted and used is probably all you can get. Note: due to the side exhaust of the wagon, the hitch is different than the sedan.

I used to see lots more of these in my local yards, I would use one of the junkyard parts locating services if you want to find one fast and expect to pay for shipping.

Get with Will. He has the perfect blueprints for a c-body trailer hitch fab job.

Yes Ill start checking the yards around here for a wagon version. That's Gibsons up by Oshkosh in the picture with my mug shot! lots of 70s-90s! How come mine has no rear sway bar?

I'm certainly no expert on these cars, but I do know from experience with several GM's that with the towing you plan to do, I would give her new axle bearings and inspect your shafts. The cars I saw that did any serious weight always seemed to tear up the axles, which is the inner race for the bearing. You could pull several junkyard shafts before finding a clean one too.

As crazy as it sounds you couldn't get a rear sway bar in a Roadmaster wagon or in any other B body wagon for that matter. I remember reading somewhere you can make a Crown Vic rear sway bar fit somehow. Rear sway bars were available for B body sedans. So rear axles must be different.

The "DynaRide" did have one thing unique to it that was not available on any of the rest of the B/C platform. Hydraulic front stabilizer. And they barely lasted 25k miles. I finally said screw it. If 9C1's don't need it, I don't need it.

Mine didn't have the stabilizer... but IDK what the option list really involved. Mine had the self leveling air shocks and compressor... the compressor fuse would slowly burn out and I got in the habit of keeping it unplugged except when I wanted it to adjust the height. Parked in the wind mine killed the battery a couple times before I started that practice.

The marshmallow ride and body roll were awful for spirited driving, but she was a smooth cruiser. Can't say too much bad about a car that was almost a truck... she towed pretty good.

Mine has the hydraulic front stabilizer, but the dynaride according to the chart was not available on the wagon! Whats the difference between dynaride and automatic level control syspension? which is what I guess I have. Thanks for clearing up the rear sway bar question! Thanks to Pete I now know a hitch off a 81 to 96 Estate wagon is the same!! Wonder is that's the same for Chevy, Olds and Pontiac? Should make finding one much easier!!

DynaRide was simply a used by Buick for the STOCK settings of the standard settings. Each division had their own unique stock settings.

If you had a wagon, you had the DynaRide stock suspension with HD springs and shocks.

The hydraulic stabilizer was eliminated when the car had the air suspension. WHY? I'm clueless.
EDIT: or maybe not.

So I have the hydraulic stabilizer on my air suspension car, must have been a fluke! Going to start mounting my new tires on the original aluminum wheels today. Get it up on the hoist and inspect the front end for ware, hope don't have to replace ball joints, tie rods Then front end alinement. My compressor must be shot but the air shocks look original and are holding it up good. what gives? Thanks for the heads up on the rear bearings!

I did mine up in Moog... if it was showing wear, I went for it... parts are cheap enough. Upper and lower ball joints and control arm bushings (uppers) and the steering components, center link etc... I was doing my own labor, so good parts and never having to redo it was worth every cent.

Check the lower ball joints before you raise it, there should be wear indicators...
