Unbelievable. Who'd have known that these would bring that kind of money in this condition. I kick myself for unloading mine in 1981... sigh

The seller sent me a text saying it was a complete car in terms of the drivetrain, and would follow up with an email later with more details. So I will see what else comes to light. I have shown my car on this site before, but maybe for some who have not seen it, here it is again. Scott, you sure you wouldn't want it - then we could have matching cars! But a vert when restored would definitely bring more $$ when done, so your plan makes complete sense if you were going to do one of these.

I wish I had the funds Steve! Purchase price is one thing, but to do that car right it takes big $$$. It would be a 10 year project! Even though it is a '61, The G would be more appealing to me because the top goes down. I'd be happy with either one, though!

You could sell the one pictured and have enough $$$ to buy and restore both the F and G. Then, you could let me drive the G to shows, following you in the F! LOL! In all seriousness, your F has to be the lowest mile, all original example on the planet. It's just stunning. Barrett Jackson would love to see that cross their stage.

that's gorgeous!

Always been my favorite Chrysler.. absolutely gorgeous Steve! Wish I would have kept my 60 Adventurer.. was the closest i ever got to an F. Good luck if you're seriously interested in this one.

Why was I so stupid many years ago when they were cheap used cars? Grrrr.

I remember seeing these cars (Forward Look) abandoned on the streets of Milwaukee and the city towing them to the junkyard in the 1970's...of course they were in terrible condition and rusted out.

When I walked everyday to high school, I always walked by a gullwing Mercedes left to rot under an enormous oak tree until it was hauled off to the junkyard.

Then we were all so stupid. I can think of several 427 Cougar GT-E cars, Boss 302, Boss 351 and numerous Shelbys all for around $500 in the mid 70's.

I wouldn't say stupid... Just that it was a different time! We all have stories of what we should've kept or what we wish we had back...once we get older and hopefully wiser and more affluent, we wish we could re-live days gone by. We all did what we had to do at the time. In my mind, that's what we're here for, we all have a passion for the cars we could've kept but had to sell for whatever reason, the ones we couldn't afford at the time, the ones we always dreamed of owning. That's what makes our hobby and this forum great!
