A few years ago I sold my old Newport, and regretted it the second I handed over the keys...
I told him if he ever wanted to sell, let me know first.
I loved the car, but needed the $$ at the time. I'm sure you all know how it goes..
The guy traveled with some friends from up north to get the car. Knowing where the car had went, once in a while I would check the local craigslist up there for s#its and giggles once or twice a year. I even tried contacting him a couple years back seeing if he might want to sell.
Today for fun I checked craigslist, and about s#it my pants! There was my car!!
There was a brief description and one picture. Man he hasn't seemed to take care of her. Looks like an accident of some kind happend with the passenger side front. He tore the vynal top off. And its missing some trim.. God knows what else...
I gave em a call with no answer. Then emailed em. They emailed back saying they would call me soon. That they were in the hospital with their daughter. I havn't heard back.
I think I'm gonna try, and get her back. I miss the car badly. Buuttt, she sure needs some work now.
What do you guys think? Should I bother? The car is pretty unique. Not posting the ad till I know what I'm gonna do...
HELL YA!!! jump in that "Like a fat kid on a cupcake".. if you miss it this time! You'll take it to the grave.. Love the story too. I tried digging as well to find my First car, a 68 Plymouth Vailent. But dead ends.. So! Go get it!!!!!!

Congrats Zac and don't worry we all belong to the same support group unfortunately we are all also very good enablers. I hope you get a hoard of cars going like Gary Lord knows I'm trying! You know you have a problem when you start looking for acreages just because you need the room for all your "loved ones" ask me why I know.

Its a little more then I wanted to spend, but is what it is. Its THE car! Not another car LIKE it.
Will be a long while till anything happens. Wired the money to my buddy yesterday. He will go see it sunday. As long as its described, and still runs decent he will pick it up.
He's gonna take it to my folks place, and it will sit there till I can get it down.
