A glutton for punishment

I may have a line on a NYB Formal with sunroof that the owner wants to part out. Keep your mailbox open enough for a PM if I get any news. 75LandYacht and I talked to the fella at Carlisle and I have recieved text messages from him since. The car is in the NE and the owner was bringing it home to part it... should be sometime soon.

I have used this calculator as a cost guideline, the shipper I used for the Imperials was...

Coast to Coast Auto Transport |

I was happy with them... but there are others who know more than I here. I used the calculator as a guide, and it was accurate for my job earlier this year... I would consider it a top number to pay, as I am sure you could beat the price with effort/patience. I was more concerned with making Mr C's side of the transaction as simple as I could... they had a depot local to him, which sealed the deal for me.

Thanks Jeff. PM box is completely cleared out! I'll keep an eye out. Been reaserching them a little more today. I'm sure my cables are junk..

I'm happy for you Zac!

Don't let her get away again....

I'll try Bob!

Glad you got your car back, Zak, sorry to hear about the damage.
Find a good panel beater who knows how to work an English wheel.

Hoping too. A buddy up there has a good body guy. Might see if he can get it fixed before it comes down.

Gotta say, this warms my heart. I've let a lot of stuff go... Regretted a lot of it in theory but realized that there were reasons and to be patient and certain that other awesome things were possible. Sometimes that stuff comes back when you least expect it.
Great story, man and I look forward to seeing her progress in the proper hands. Best of luck!

Deposit is sent in to the shipping broker. Car should be here around the 14th next month.

A buddy has offered a place to keep one of the cars. Looks like the 'doba is staying too. lol

Your as bad as I am...

Now insurance and registration fees are a real part of your car hobby...

Glad it all worked out.

I've been dying. Nice high end semi, with 2 brand new porsche's. 1 new charger hellcat. 2 new wranglers. And a raggedy old newport. LMFAO!!

Even rough, the Newport is still the best looking car on there IMO lol.

Shes on her way! All of the cars are coming to FL. They had to load the car down the road, in front of the bar. Bunch of people came out saying "hey I know that car!". My folks talked with them for a bit.

Excuse the horrible vid. They arn't the greatest with the Iphone lol.

I'm getting excited!

There used to be a huge car show/cruise called "Hellavacruise" every year. It got shut down years ago for some idiots falling out of the back of a truck doing a burn out. The drunk kid had to be flown to the hospital. That ended it quickly.

Ever since then, the locals still try to pick it back up, but obviously no real "show" happens. Plus its right in front of the bar. All the people at night doing stuff down there.

Heres a lil vid of it right in front of the bar. Where the car was loaded.

Heres a better vid taken a bit further up the road.

I do miss the car culture up there badly.

Man I wanna strangle that little ****. My poor car!!

A couple quick pics before I had to run back to work.. She still runs decent. Not idleing the best at the moment. Throttle is a little sticky.

I lent my first Cordoba to my brother for a year....it still looks like s&$# 28 years later as I haven't had the heart or time to undo all he did..:( suffice to say bodywork is not his forte...

You'll undo his crap in due course (or by next week if we know you) and she will be her glorious self again!!

If I didn't know you and drove by this house, I'd be thinking, "Now there's a Mopar Man".

LOL thanks! I'm flattered! Hopefully the bluesmobile will be out there soon with them!

That sucks! I know the feeling. How bad is it?

After sitting in the swamp (from the looks of it) the rear floors need a little work. Trunk still solid luckily. Damn moisture got to the passenger wheel well. A few small holes. Sum *****! The quarters have blistered a little more.

I took her for a spin around the block. Quickly reminded why I had to have her back! Shes obnoxiously loud, and quick. All the nieghbors came running out. Lmao.

Will be a while to get to work on her. U'm booked at work for pretty much the rest of the year. Gotta finish the other one too! Figure I'll poke around with thr metal work here, and there, as I already have all the needed supplies.

Where's the grill? Hopefully in the trunk?

Its in the trunk, along with the rest. I pulled most of it out, and it seems like everything is there. Fingers crossed, seems like the sunroof parts are there, but I have no idea what I'm looking at. The sunroof panel is pretty mangled. Its a big piece of tin!

I was happy to find the headliner bows were there too. The rubbery piece that goes around the sunroof, and headliner glues too is ripped, and torn. Gonna be fun replacing that!

Forgot to mention, today was the first time I got to drive the car with the sunroof open (even if missing) lmao. Was pretty cool!

I've got her all safe, and tucked in next to the garage. Waiting to be messed with.
