A opinion on new car purchase

Official FCBO safety adviser;

have to admit I ruined a fender and rocker panel once with an overaged tire losing the carcass partially; I change every ten years in general.

It does get driven to local events but a Hemi with a 3:90 gear isn't much of a road car, so it gets trailered sometimes.
Well, I drive my 4.10 gear, 4200 stall Hemi on the street a bunch.

Yea, but metric Hemis suck, I know......

I had an old tire come apart pushing the car out of the garage around to the side, about 60' or so. It's 13 years old, still on the car, still holding air.

I would destroyed a mint Charger front fender if I was on the road.

When did your brother purchase the car, back in the day when they were cheap as used cars still ?
He bought the Charger in the mid 90's. At the time he worked for American sunroof and was on assighment to Metalcrafters in los Angeles when he picked up a local auto swapper. The car had been taken in trade at Reggie Jacksons showroom collection. It was a solid car that had been rode hard and put away wet..... Painted satin black over the original red, (including all the stainless trim & grille,). It's an original hemi car with a non matching 66 street hemi engine.
It gets driven quite a lot but not for road trips.

Right decision, these cars shouldn't be put away from the streets.
Think Reggie J. lost a good couple of gems in a fire around the late 90s.
