yeah .. it's numbers matching duh. Meaning he's advertising it to someone who will rebody it.

That was in jest by the way in case my sarcasm font is not calibrated correctly :)

Sarcasm...aaaaaah the root of all good humour!!

In the write up on the ebay add it says 'Believed to be numbers matching car' ......double duh!!!!

(As far as I can see this car is complete and is all here. This is a very rare find. I believe this to be a numbers matching car. )

Yeah except for all the glass and melted parts !!!! :campfire:

I will say that if there's nothing wrong with the engine, trans and rear axle(if), that is worth what the current bid is and likely more.

I agree. The high rollers are returning to the market. Are there any numbers on the body of this particular car that needs to be saved like the radiator support, etc...

On these I believe it's the upper core support and I think on the rear crossmember behind the bumper on the drivers side.

A complete vintage Hemi is worth all of 10K at least.

And and the other 99% gets crushed.
I think the air cleaner wing nut on that Charger can be saved.

I agree Matt. The engine, 4 sp trans and Dana would be a bargain at the current bid amount. Add the VIN tag, fender tag and body numbers and I feel a rebody coming on.

It would still approch the value of the completed car to do that but someone could end up with a nice Hemi Charger.

That would be a project car worth the trouble to rebody. Those Chargers are cool!

I always admire the beauty of the 1966 and 1967 Chargers at Carlisle. One of my friends had a 66 with a 383. It was a rust bucket in 1973 in Wisconsin but was still pretty fast for an 18 year old kid.

These first gen Chargers are unique but I'd prefer the Coronets body style those years.

I'm not that fond of the styling of these Charger's myself. They kind of remind me of the AMC Marlin, although they are nicer looking than the Marlin, IMO. Yeah, I kinda like the early Charger, but not as much as the '68-'70 or the '71-'74 Charger styling.

Still, a Hemi Charger is a Hemi Charger, but if they re-body it, won't it really be a clone?
