Hi and thanks for posting the great pix of the car and, especially, the fender tag. I am in the midst of adding 1966 Chryslers to my decoder and would appreciate your taking a minute to review my decoding of your car's fender tag. Please confirm or correct my entries. b5: 455 power bucket seats LH & RH (others say rear armrests & ash tray); f6: 426 Rear speaker; g6: 546 Front bumper reveal molding (thought to be the thin SS moulding around the ends of the front bumper); p6: 536 Outside LH rearview mirror-remote adjustable; "16": Body inspector's stamp; AB62 383 4-bbl; C5: 395 TorqueFlite; G1: 26" radiator opening; S1: 411 Air conditioner & heater; SO: 222-Scheduled assembly date February 22, 1966; NUMBER: 13348-Shipping Order Number; BDY: CM23 Chrysler, 300, 2 doors, hardtop; TRM: Medium/300 Grade cloth & vinyl seating in white with black insert (gorgeous!); and PNT: MM1 Roof and lower body color are the midyear Turbine Bronze Metallic-Monochromatic styling (also gorgeous). Thanks in advance.

Everything matches up except the power bucket seats. My car has manual seats. For my car, b5 does determine rear arm rest / ashtrays. Thanks!

Very nice!

Do a 69-73 disc swap and then the wheel covers won't be telling any bad information.

Not a bad thought, from what I’ve read the early disc brake calipers are a pain. Is that true? This is my first 65/66. I’ve owned every generation C Body with the addition of this one. (1968 Sport Fury, 1968 Imperial Crown Coupe, 1972 Newport Royal, and a 1974 New Yorker Brougham St. Regis Coupe.)

I have some correct '66 300 14" wheel covers if you are interested. BTW, nice car.
I am interested, I’d still like to have a set even if they don’t go on the car immediately. I like to change up the look from time to time! Send me a private message when you can. Thanks!

Speaking from personal experience,The Budd disc brakes do function beautifully.
But parts are of unobtanium.
The calipers have to be sent out to be rebuilt or do them yerself.
Brake pads are available but the rotors are like hens teeth.
Mobileparts, a member here sell the parts but once they are gone-- they are gone!
So yes I agree go with the 73 disc brake set up and retain the " correct" disc brake wheel covers.

My first dumb question of the day: What do you call the seat type I see in your car? I'm thinking they are the standard seating for this model, both mechanically adjustable, could be powered, have no particular name other than split bench or buddy seat and are NOT bucket seats. Dumb ?'s #2 & #3 : If bucket seats are installed, does the console come automatically and can one or both be powered?

From the 1966 dealer data book at The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1966 Chrysler Dealership Data Book - Features/Equipment/Specs

Chrysler absolutely classifies them as bucket seats, as the buddy seat isn’t connected to either seat. Technically they’re called “White Vinyl Shell Bucket Seats with Black Cloth Inserts” as shown here in the original Chrysler literature.
