I took these photos of this 1970 Sport Fury GT at the Mopar Nationals event. Might have been 1994. Anyone know this car or if it’s still around? Has Ohio plates that read “RARE GT”.

Do you remember a gator top ?
I think it,s Carsten,s old car .......for years now in Europe.

Hi Eric,

yes, it is my old car.
Shipped it to germany in 2005.
I sold it to a close friend of mine in 2010 and it lives now in Luxemburg

I’m kinda surprised to see an 18 year old Chrysler being shown.

What does it look like today???

Mostly the same.
Unfortunatly not completely.

When we were leaving from a car show in summer 2012 with a bunch of Mopars to go for a BBQ one guy had a brakefailure with his 62 Fury and touched the SFGT in the back. Not horribly but there is damage to the bumper, back panel, trunklid and quarters.

It was bad luck as this SFGT is a rustfree car from California ordered new by a Doctor, has ori 90k miles, ori V-Top&interieur in perfect shape, never hit, never a dent before with one outside repaint from 1983. Really sad that it has to be partly fixed up now.

Here is a video of the stupid crash

What an a**hole. I would have wanted to knock him out. As stated, taking off like that in a crowded area is totally inexcusable.

Son of a...I couldn't even watch the entire video, ugh...:BangHead:

The guy in the 62 runs de Moparshop in Germany , the biggest in Europe and knows a lot of his customers..........i,m sure they know each other.

Remarkable restraint from the SFGT owner to that attention - ***** douche nozzle. Must be a Euro thing.

:mad::BangHead::mob::soapbox::elmer:

as mentioned before:
We were a group of 15 Mopardrivers/friends leaving the show to go for a BBQ.
I rode the plumcrazy 70 Super Bee infront of the SFGT.

Due to knowing eachother/being friends the sickness was still big but we can handle our anger and frustation.

No matter how stupid it was: There are worse things that can happen to you and your life.

I hope everyone will have a great start into 2018 with good health for everyone.

Best wishes

Carsten

That video made me cringe. With all the traffic here in NJ I always worry about some texting/video watching *** plowing into my 300 when I am cruising around. But to have a fellow classic car owner to drive like that is mind boggling. And the hugs....WTF!!! Those hugs would have included closed fists to the face in the NY/NJ area. Not very European in my neck of the woods.
