Hello,

Are all 65 BB transmissions the same? I think I remember being told that there are different transmissions between column shift and floor shift. Is that true?

Thanks

Although not shifter style related, my 66 big block 727 has a coarse spline input shaft. I didnt find that out until my new converter showed up with the more common fine spline snout. I wound up getting an newer 727 with the fine spline shaft and rebuilding that one.

I think the '65 transmissions are the same but the cable ends differ between the push button and consule shift versions....

The manual valves in the valve body are different- the stops on the shaft are different. So is the "rooster tail"- the arm inside the case that swings around and touches the neutral switch tip. Oh and the neutral switch end and the barrel that receives the shift cable is slightly different. Change these parts out and it's all the same.
