The fact that another rare C body is being destroyed as a transplant donor for an A, B or E Body.
If the C body is junk & the guy has an E body project then I think it's great. One cool Mopar on the road beats two dead POS. I was gonna donate my engine & trans to a Dart project.

I understand your point, but he fact is, a high percentage of the C body cars that are scrapped for their running gear, or used in demo's are good cars either as daily drivers or projects. If the cars being routinely gutted were rusted out junk, keeping other cars on the road, that would be different. Just look at the number of great bodies without engines, trannies or rearends are and have been listed on clist in the last year. Also, look at the number of former big block cars that are flipped with a recently installed 318....Their cars, so they can do what they want I guess. Just a shame when you are the guy who will walk past the Chargers, Challengers and Cudas to look at the Imperial, Chrysler, Fury or Polara.

You know, I had to reach out to a guy on Moparts tonight that I had a strong disliking for. Last year he bought a 71 Polara survivor, a nice two door that he probably paid a bit to much for. He bought it as a winter beater and some other fellows and myself broke his stones all last winter and into the spring. He just sent me photos of the 440 6 pack and four speed he installed into the car. He liked it so much he decided to build it. Theres a twist.............
I don't walk past any of them. I see a car with no drivetrain as an opportunity. If it's a rusty POS then it's doomed anyway. If it's a solid body car then somebody will shove a working drivetrain (hopefully EFI) in it.
Or, it ends up suffering a slow painful death. That is just not better than organ harvesting. IMO.....

A 71 Polara is easily hot roddable & looks cool as a hot rod. Barely counts as an "undesirable" C body. I remember a hot rod Polara on a used car lot in my hometown that we drooled over for the few days that it was there.
Who exactly is the idiot?
