She had a temper tantrum a couple of weeks ago when there was a teleconference between the Gov, Mayor of Portland and the Homeland Security Director concerning the presence of Federal officers protecting Federal buildings in Portland. Homeland security director told the Gov and Mayor to get control of the situation or face the prospect of a thousand or more Feds in Portland. Gov caved and agreed to provide state police for riot control. As the meeting ended, she asked that her office be cleared and then she proceeded to launch into a profanity laced tirade and furniture was heard being slammed about (she forgot to turn of the mic in her office). Feds forcing her to act ruined her whole day. The recall petition is nearing enough signatures to force a recall election. Probably won't be recalled because the big democratic base in Portland and the public employee unions still support her in spite of the fact that she is a hopeless idiot.

The poor woman. How dare the Feds ask for something as draconian as "Law and Order". What'll they ask for next: Equal Protection Under the Law? No wonder she's so angry.
Our governor is being forced to give up his emperor executive order tactics for a little while and call a special session to deal with a $2 billion short fall over the next two years. With Democrats in the majority and governor's mansion, think Virginia taxes are going up?

The special session open this morning in Oregon to the news that the shortfall is now estimated $2.3 billion for the current year and $4 billion over the two year budget cycle, Oregon is on a Biennial budget.

Virginia is biennial too with a 60 day regular legislative session in the 1st year and a 45 day regular session in the 2nd year. Otherwise the executive branch runs the government. Legislature can only come into special session if the governor calls it. Stupid constitution and weak legislative branch and no voter initiative and referendum. IOW, we are a bureaucrat's paradise. Zero accountability.
