Auction ...........

Only 300K, you should have phoned in a bid.

If I was filthy rich, I would love to be able to donate to children's charities like that. But alas, I am not.....so the local boy scouts is where some of my spare cash goes to.

You're actually very close but I don't eat tofu. Soy is not your friend.

I take an Amy's brand cheese pizza & let it defrost for a few so that I can get most of the cheese off before baking. Absolutely delicious.

1.5MM for Shelby.

Life's too short not to eat a few donuts a year.

This one? My brother drove it on and off the stage. I went down to the shop the day after Christmas where it was restored (that's where my brother works), and it was still in about 25 pieces!LOL! It is a bad *** car with a lot of history!

That was your brother? He dumped the clutch & scared the **** outta that one guy.

Yes he did! That was kinda funny, buncha tight asses around there! LOL!
One of the NASCAR drivers did the same thing and Craig Jackson yelled out something about breaking a light box. You could tell he was highly annoyed after that.

Mr. Jackson needz to get hiz panty hose in ah knot more often. What's this I saw last nite with the Fat Catz having a reserve on some of those high price toyz? Am I seeing here that the high rollerz get to put a reserve on their toyz in a Non-reserve auction and us riff-raftz take the hit for what ever the bid iz at no reserve? Somethin' wrong with that picture!!!!!

I started noticing some reserves last year. I bet you can put any reserve you want for a added fee...

Reserves used to be the norm at the BJ auctions in the 90's and early 00's. So many folks wanted the glory of running their cars through the BJ system that they became very selective and accepted only the non reserve vehicles that were submitted, hense ... A 100% sale rate. It came with a few controversial sales and some lawsuits.

In the past few years with the shaky market the nice cars were staying away and BJ has been forced to allow reserves to be applied once again. There were several "no sales" last year and i've seen some already this year, not only at scottsdale but other auctions and auction companys.
I'm sure they attach a non refundable fee to a reserve consignment.

I know it used to be will and that was my gripe with Mr. Jackson the times that I've made the trip out there in January. I've seen some fine iron go durt cheap in his "no reserve auctions" and the only protection from that was for the seller to also be the buyer and pay double commissions, what are they 10% on both ends, plus enterance fees and premium fees for Saturday afternoon of up to $2500 or more. Then wonder how a Bugatti Veyron iz just one of the toyz of many in hiz personal stable. The poor guy lost a few sales because of his greedy no-reserve edict where everything sells back in the '90s and early '00s. Sorry, I can't cry for him. Thanks for the info and the update on his practises 'tho Will, Jer

'60 or '61 Dart coupe with 361 and long rams coming up.

That car went cheap at $44,500. I can't believe the owner let it go for that! The owner of that car waz at Carlisle last year with that one and two more just like it. He had all three of 'um at the wash rack when I scooted by. Dam near tipped the thing over makin' ah U-turn to go have ah closer look and Bench Race ah little!

I saw those cars at the 2012 Turkey Run, in the car corral. Priced at 60K each.
Must be desperate times for him.
