Usually a hidden button that activates a solenoid but lately the trend is an RF remote FOB.
I wouldn't be surprised if there now isn't an app for that.
Or leave the window(s) down...

A sweet '61 300 G 3 spd manual floor shift on the block currently. Bright red with a tan over black interior just sold for 200 grand.

The more I look at this car the less I like it. Good quality ....... questionable taste. The original appeal has been lost on this car.
Yeah like the lame *** lokar auto shifter in a car from the pushbutton era..... F...in Chevy bozos.

I still have all of Friday and Saturday to fast foward through.

Yeah that Coddington really screwed that one up. I'd drive it.

And the back story of the car;

The Original American Hot Rodder Teams Up With Make-A-Wish Foundation® This Summer

Boyd Coddington Revs Up to Help Make 17-Year-Old Boy's Hot Rod Dream Come True

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 28, 2005 -- "American Hot Rod," airing on Discovery Channel (Fridays 10:00 pm E/P) draws millions of fans each week to watch legendary hot rodder Boyd Coddington and his staff as they conceptualize, design, build and unveil a continuing lineup of cutting-edge hot rods. This summer, 17-year-old Max Cohen is about to live his dream of designing a Boyd Coddington hot rod with Boyd and his team.

"When the Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted us to ask if we'd grant this wish we immediately said yes," said Jo Coddington, wife of Boyd, who appears regularly on the show. "We established the Coddington Foundation specifically for this purpose. And after learning that Max was such a fan of 'American Hot Rod,' Boyd and I decided to take his wish a step further by having him not only design the car of his dreams, but also fly him out to Los Angeles throughout the summer and actually help build it."
Max, who attends Palatine High School and lives with his father and 12-year-old sister in Palatine, IL, was diagnosed in 2003 with acute lymphocytic leukemia. He has a passion for designing cars and motorcycles, and is excited about making the trip to meet his favorite hot rodder.

"Normally our customers will only see the car in its conception phase," Boyd Coddington outlined. "Max will not only see the car from the conception stage, but he will also be able to work on his car himself until its completion, which no one else has ever been allowed to do. We're all excited about having him come out here and be part of the team."
Upon completion, the "Max Hemi" will be auctioned off with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® so that even more children will be able to experience their dreams, as Max soon will.
"American Hot Rod" is produced by Pilgrim Films and Television with Craig Piligian as executive producer. For the Discovery Channel, Mark Finkelpearl is executive producer.

Polara Dave's friend and bud Steve Magnanate said buying cars at B-J last night

"It's not just buying cars anymore....it's a sport"

What a FN douche!!!

That's the way I used to do it , now I'm up to my but in pinewood derby car due next weekend, kind of snuck up on us.
I loved building them. Of course I took it as a challenge for a car guy. Many, many tricks, but polishing the axles & wheels, and putting the weight in front of the rear axle along with stretching the well base ( check your rules) seemed to make the biggest difference.

It probably wasn't purple originally...
