Bidder Beware!!!

Here is the latest information. The seller opened a "non paying buyer" case with ebay. This was after I messaged telling "them" I was still agreeing to send the $3,150, if a clean and clear title was provided. The seller said that my request was "insulting" and that they would not be willing to wait the 4-6 weeks for the Nevada DMV would take to provide a new title.
The title has the person the seller bought the car from as the registered owner. Its also has the OP info written on the back. The seller is not the "registered owner, obviously a "flip". I coild deal with that. I cannot accept a title that has the info from 2 people not involved in the sale.
I will update after 09 JUNE, that is when the "non paying bidder" case is supposed to close.
Looks like I'm going to miss out on a great deal for a nice car. Oh well, there are other cars still out there!

I will bet ebay will side with you. The seller has an obligation to give you a clear title and clearly that's not happening.

How stupid can they be selling a car to which they can't give clear title to.
Seeing as how the listing started with a low opening bid and No Reserve, it smells of scam.

Ebay may side with you or not. The point is protecting yourself from something you can not title. The fact that they are opening up a non paying case shows you that they would never go the distance to get you a transferable title. No deal is better than a bad deal.

That's your title on the floor

Ok here's a thought that's out there. Contact the OP and see if they can help out. You pay the fees, they get a clear title and then sign it off to you. Any chance of getting its car from those wack jobs would be a chance well taken.

He doesn't want to wait. Well if he does live in Nevada here is what he has to follow and one thing is provide a proper title, notify the DMV of the sale and turn over the plates within 30 days

Hell the seller is in violation for not registering the car to him. I'd tell him you are calling the DMV and providing them with all the information you have on him from address to car info and let him chew on that awhile and deal with the state. Plus tell the state he doesn't have a dealer's license for more than 3 cars per year. Eleven in 2013 and six so far in 2014. Make him squirm.

I wouldn't touch this. The fact that you "insulted" him in asking for a clean title is a big red flag for me. You'll find another car. Good luck in the search.

Thanks all the info and the B.S. comments as well. IDGAF about any (-) ebay points, or getting a "non paying bidder" stigma! I just want a drama free transaction from the seller.
I will keep up with the info as it plays out.
Mike

That sucks they got your hopes up about getting a car you wanted. One or two shady characters ruin a good deal, bummer.

It's taking some effort on my part. The seller has "rushed" a title. If its a replacement or a new title with new information is yet to be determined. I offered a "bonus", they turned it down. I seems I'm actually messaging the person who placed the ebay auction. The "daughter" is still the only bank info I have been provided for the transfer.
More to come!

Title is "clean and clear". Should arrive by overnight Fed Ex. Just need to get it shipped from Las Vegas to Chicago! Pics to be posted when it arrives.

Here is the latest on the transaction. New Title is to be delivered on Tuesday. The shipping company is going to pick up the car on Wednesday. I've been told that delivery to me in Chicago should take no longer than a week. As far as I know, (ebay description and pics) I'm going to need to check out the power window switches/motors and the transmission linkage. I have a place to store it until I'm sure its drivable. Looking forward to posting pics and vids and getting feedback and suggestions from members here.

Top points for perseverance i would have dropped it long ago with that sort of hassle being thrown at me.
