Big Blue, the 67 Crown Coupe - Managing Director Edition

Wow good luck Dave we are praying for you up here. It amazes me how our "modern science" can not solve these things but can put humans on Mars....priorities I guess :(

I'm home from my 3rd hospitalization since 24 December due to an infection in my left calf muscle. Now, all I have to do is care for the big hole in my leg. The surgeon thought it best to leave the incision open so it can drain naturally. Could be 5 weeks before it's healed. Ugh.

My brothers are coming to visit for a week starting Saturday. They will be glad to help me work on Big Blue. I expect we will be able to get the car in good enough shape to drive to the annual California State-wide Imperial clubs meet near the end of April. The meet will be in Pacifica, which is about 110 miles from my house.

Prayers to you Dave, glad to hear you are home. Hope the doctors figure this out soon for you and for good.

Thanks again, gents, for all your support, prayers, etc. One way or another I'll get this car to the state meet next month.

I trust you'll take your camera to the meet?

Sorry to report that I'm back in the hospital. Had more surgery on my leg a few days ago. We're hopeful that will be the end of whatever the problem is. I expect to go home on Friday. My brother-in-law, who was a senior engineer at Ford for many years is visiting and doing some work on the Imp while I'm stuck in here.

Dag... Would finish with that leg already. I'm ready for some Imperial progress pics...

Really sorry that you have been having so much trouble for all this time, I hope they actually got it this time. Not much seems worse than lying around in pain wishing you were doing something more productive.

I had my Gal bladder removed four years ago while on vacation. It ruptured and it needed to be done right then. What drove me nuts the most was seeing my wife coming in and out of my hospital room in her summer clothes. That's what got me up and going

Are my thoughts and prayers reaching you from the Motor City or what???
