big brother is watching what you buy

Gas operated and recoil operated firearms all have lots of noise issues besides the muzzle blast. Also need to find subsonic ammo as supersonic crack (bullet breaking the sound barrier) also makes a lot of noise. A bolt action rifle with subsonic ammo is probably the best candidate. Most silencers have a Kevlar or hard rubber buffer system for noise reduction and both wear out quickly, so I never thought that silencers were a very good investment.

I gotcha.

In Az you can open carry loaded so no real need for a ccw except to avoid the background bs at gunshows and the waiting period to pick up a purchase.

It sounds like yall are pretty similar to NC. I agree about the Mark series being a better pistol. The only 22 pistol that I have is a Mark iii competition like this one. Good shooting guns.

Clack clack clack ain’t silent LoL!!!

That's the part that people don't understand, especially non-gun people. No matter what you do, silencers and subsonic ammo can only be so quiet. Then a gun is still a machine and the action makes noise. But they saw some **** in a movie where a hit man shot a guy and it didn't make a sound so it has to be banned. I could rant for days on gun laws and restrictions.

Yup I hear you brother. All that dealer demo & cop only purchase stuff makes my head spin. Surest path straight to jail is to delve into that stuff without being a cop or a dealer...

Mark III is the breakdown top correct ? I love to get one but I think my trusty ol mark 2 would get jealous.

Subsonic vs snake shot. The struggle continues LoL!!!

I'm pretty sure it's like the Mk II. Pop the pin mechanism out of the handle and smack the barrel forward to separate the two pieces.

But you definitely need one of the competition models :poke: My theory is that guns get lonely just sitting around without some friends. :usflag:

Most of the suppressors that I've seen are a chambered style. So like a flowmaster for your gun.:D Probably not as quiet as something with a rubber type buffer system.

That’s pretty true. The more the merrier LoL!!!

I saw the new model breaks at the top and is on hinges. Looked like a way easier gun to break down than my old piece.

Probably so. I've struggled with mine quite a few times.

Other channels are starting to pick up on the original video. I wonder what triggered the investigation into this guy in the first place.

My personal favorite is the idiots that put out the tax stamp and purchase price for a silencer for an AR series firearm. The AR is blow back gas operated and the noise coming out of the side cover is almost as great as that which comes out of the muzzle. Total waste of money unless a suppressed gas piston assembly is also installed.

Dave
That would be great to get rid of that dam spring going boing with every trigger pull!
