Dang, I'm gonna need a bigger garage!

Did you just purchase the 300? With this shop only 7 miles from me, I was going to take a drive over there just to check the car and the work this shop did.
From what pictures of the resto I saw on their website, it looks like they did a nice job. Not all resto shops suck.
Maybe I'll get a quote on mine??

Not me.
I don't have any room for another car. It did have me drooling a bit though.
I would be interested in this car's history though.

Looks like a very nice car. But an inspection would be warranted given a dealer is selling it. Seems heavily optioned, maybe a little too much since it has Auto Temp 1, but no TNT. Interior needs to be fixed color-wise (not hard) and it needs the original triple white paint stripes down the side IMO.
Bingo ! on needing the original triple stripe! A classic touch....

Please post a picture of your fender tag.
So the number nerds can have fun.
And tell you more how the interieur looked like from the factory

Carsten
Saw that I never answered for the original thread, but better late than never. Here's the tag.
I won't hijack this thread any longer.

Congrats on new ride. Somebody spent some big dollars on that car.
Whatever you paid for it, I'm sure it was far less than what was spent on the resto.

You sly dog. Are you going to be taking it to Carlisle in July?

I was going to take it to York (Street Rod Nationals) in June if the upgrades are done by then. But I'm thinking it'll be the '57 to Carlisle.

The work they did, I think they did well. But man, did they ever charge for it. They told me it cost the guy $70,000 for the work they did. Now before you call bullshit on that, ask yourself, why they would they inflate the price they charged someone. Personally, I think that's about double what should have been charged but that's not my concern at this point.

Overall the work was good. The car is straight, the gaps are nice, they polished the trim before reinstalling it etc. I don't really think they cut any corners, but at the rate they charge, I could see the owner foregoing a few of the things I would have done while the car was blown apart.

I actually called them earlier today to see if I could come take a look at the car.
Bryan said it was just shipped 2 days ago. As we were talking he shared the same numbers that were spent on the car with me that you mentioned in your post.
I about fell off my chair. I wonder how many shop hours that $70K accounts for.
Still a very nice car.

It looks like they did more than body/paint work, as that interior looks new and most of the accessories seem to work it sounds like. Despite all the work and the high price of "restoration", they did end up selling it at a reasonable price. Still probably much more than they paid the estate for it, but at least the new owner seems to be pleased and has a nice car at a reasonable price.

Tell us more about your 57 Chrysler. We have the same taste in cars...................fuselage and forward look!

That is a BEAUTIFUL 300 ! I don't know how you manage to keep those whitewalls so white, simply stunning.

I have a '57 Saratoga that's my Go to Sunday Meetin' car. Original motor and trans (354 poly) with a few upgrades. SSBC disc brakes, '68 rear diff, Edlebrock carb, MSD ignition. The car runs well and turns heads everywhere I go. People come out of the woodwork to say :

1) Nice car !
2) What the hell is it ?
