For Sale - A (sad) 1971 Plymouth Fury III Florida State HP CarCongrats! Can someone describe the other thread about this?
E86, 440HP, PK41- copSo, with all the special mask, paint, and order, what is it, my first thought was a show car but that'd be on the tags.
Glad it's been saved regardless.
Didn't see the tags until after I made my comment. Thank you for saving this rare car!
Nope lol.
Yup.Original drivetrain long gone?
well, Gary, at least we know it's not the ghost of Christine, since a Chrysler was involved as well. But in all seriousness, that's very tragic for all involved. Glad you guys made it ok.So left home about 5.45am and headed south to SC and was about an hour and a half out of Aiken SC cruising along nicely when at about 11.15am on I95 a truck left the road and burned, we got caught in the traffic and I ended up directing a bit of traffic to get a couple of emergency vehicles through then I walked up to the crash site a mile and a half ahead and checked on everything as we had been sitting for an hour. Turned out the driver had left the road and hit the trees. The truck had burst into flames and burned. It was a tractor trailer hauling a load of furniture and the emergency services had a backhoe there tearing the side open and then hosing the embering remains. Until that was done they wouldn't let anyone through as there was spilled diesel fuel too. The guys body had already been removed by then. We didn't get going till about 2.30 in the afternoon and went and picked up the car. Then on the trip back we saw the crews still working at 5.30pm on it and and I counted off the stopped traffic, it went back for 9 miles on the highway. So anyway, with peak hour traffic and such plus a stop for food and gas a couple of times we didn't get home till 11pm . Phew! Not something I would do every day.
I also wonder if I should be doing this? When picking up my Chrysler 300 convertible almost a year ago a driver was killed in his armored car that stopped traffic then too.
Nope, but Bob does know who owns it....It's not Bob's is it?
