Budd Caliper's

Does any body have a lead on replacement budd caliper's or rebuild kit or even an aftermarket caliper that can be made to fit?
Ive Got one that's leaking
Im in the UK which makes it more difficult

Went through 3 different Cardone reman'd calipers before I gave up. I ended up with Wilwood calipers. Made my own caliper adapter bracket. The factory spacing between caliper bolts is 6 and 7/8 inch. The Wilwood bolt spacing is 3 and a half inch. How you shape the adapter bracket would be based off the rotors used. Since I also didn't use factory rotors, my other measurements wouldn't mean much to you.

it had crossed my mind to do this but i thought refurbing or replacing the calipers would be eaiser, but being my first mopar i didn't realise the brakes were that rare or hard to get parts for.
Can I ask which wildwood calipers and what rotors you used? also you have any photos just to give me more of an idea

Mine leaked while sitting. they where "rebuilt"
I just disassembled them, cleaned everything and reassembled. It does not leak anymore.
I was surprised by how thin the piston bore seal was. Much thinner than smaller calipers I have rebuilt. If any debris gets in there, I can see where it would cause a leak.

I’ve just started taking mine apart I have to kinds of piston in one caliper I suspect it’s incorrect

wilwood 120-15254. I used 2014 Lincoln MKZ rotors. It did however require threading the spindle so I could run the bottom bolts in from the opposite side to clear the rotor. It's VERY tight, and no way to get the factory dust shields on. I don't think I would do it again. BUT they were the closest to the factory rotors I could find. The hub could be machined as was done by others for the Mazda rotors to make clearance for the rotors, but I didn't have a lathe or rotary table at the time.

just looked on rock auto says the the lincoln's bolt circles 4.25 not 4.5 am i missing something?

This is where I made them fit with budd calipers. Then I gave up and went Wilwood. Had i done that in the first place things would have worked out different.

SO, CARID lists calipers for the 1968 Chrysler. They are from R1 concepts. They are not listed on R1 concepts page. I called in august to see what the deal was and got no help. They are $200 a piece if you want to take a chance. they claim " guaranteed to fit" so they should take them back if not the case.

I'll contact them see if they ship to the UK trouble is if i have to return them chances of getting my import duties back are slim
 
Just buy these Budd units that have been stainless steel sleeved and forget about it. Factory is truly the best here so as long as I can continue to buy rotors and sets of pads there is no reason to change.

Ive Just contacted them a the website say they dont ship to my location (uk)
my issues are by the time they've got here with duties they'll most probably be close to $1300 also going to need rotors sooner than later so new pads to i haven't even looked into those properly yet im guessing their just as rare.
It may be more cost effective to get try and get a kit put together from an A.P or Wilwood over here
