Can anyone identify this 15 inch wheel cover? I was told it was for a "77 or '78 C-body but I have found no evidence of that. I looked at the B-body and R-Body models but didnt see it either. Its depth looks like it needs a 15x7 wheel. Thoughts?

:sSig_thanks:

I'm thinking 1980 Magnum/Mirada, but I don't have access to a dealer brochure to check.

Thanks..I know the J-bodies pretty well and never seen it there but could be? Never checked out the M's either. You seem sure its not a C-body cover though. Appreciate your time.

I saw one of those on ebay a couple days ago, don't remember what it was listed for though.

Definitely not a 77 or 78 C-Body wheel cover.

Picture of the W-13 Premium wheel covers that were on my 1978 NYB. It's a 6 sided hex on the faux center cap and has the NY'er Brougham symbol in the center.

Should have known by the faux 8 lugs.

Yup, another obvious clue, in retrospect. I was locked in mentally it was a "car" wheel cover cuz of the "bling" factor..never having "collected" trucks I just ain't up on 'em from the era where wheel covers were often used. Thx man.

:icon_winkle: If I did that, and then tried to sell it, I might get kicked outta here :icon_winkle:. But this is why I joined. People here know stuff.

So to quote an unnamed movie character: "When I need to find something out, I just go out and find somebody that knows more than me, and I go ask them."

Well lookie here. Seems like the C-Body Premium wheel cover for 1978 (hex-center) wound up on a truck in 1979. This finned wheel cover design, in various incarnations, made the "rounds" so to speak on various '78-'84 cars and trucks.

The center on my 78 NYB wheel cover had the Brougham symbol with the 2 lions on it.

yep, that makes three applique flavors I have seen on these premium finned, hex center covers..the '78 Brougham "lions", the '79 "Cordoba" style, and the plain "Chrysler Corporation" versions (year unknown).

Don't forget the LeBaron version with the eagle on it...I couldn't kind any pics good enough. There's a 74 Imperial with a set of them on it...poor resolution of the eagle centre though.
