Hi Guys,

I have a 72 Newport Royal poverty pack, only has P/S and P/B...sadly no A/C :-(

Summers in Australia rival Arizona temps in Summer!!

I have been looking at Vintage Air Under dash kits and some that mount up on the inside of the firewall.

Plymouth Road Runner 1966-1970 Vintage Air System

As mine didn't have factory A/C so the dash is missing the metal vents etc can anyone advise on a suitable aftermarket system they have used that they are happy with?

I am not wedded to Vintage Air happy to look at any other brands,

Cheers!!

You may well need a larger/wider radiator too! There is a LOT of air to cool on those cars, as we have one with factory a/c. Add some DynaMat-type insulation to the floor pan, and consider some fiberglass batt insulation above the headliner, between it and the roof. What's there from the factory is not enough for TX, much less Arizona summers! The under-dash "hang-down" unit needs to be sized for that car's interior, so it's not running on "HIGH" all of the time.

Just some observations,
