This may have been asked before, Are the center caps repairable? Possible to take out the pitting and re chromed?

hope so..got two sets of gear type caps with different states of wear which will need to be rechromed..worst case will sand and prep similar to a car and use silver chrome paint

Most of it is gone now.... The NOS stuff went on a car, and other stuff was sold on this board

I had more caps in a cabinet that I located after I put all that away. Bottom line is, what do I need with all that stuff, so it had to go...

Use a dremel to drill out the rivets and then use small self tapping screws- works better than new. I've been doing this for years when piecing together road wheel sets.

Thank you Mr C. I have already been doing that. What I was referring to is when there are enough prongs on the rings damaged to make the ring itself useless.

Oh... I just keep enough spares around and make up sets as I go from the best of the items I have.
